Newton Colmore is working with a tech company in Cambridge that manufactures a variety of instruments and systems, assisting them in their search for a mechanical design engineer. We are looking for a talented Mechanical Engineer to join a multi-disciplinary team of scientists and engineers working on breakthrough technology for several different sectors, from airport scanners through to radar systems.

You will own the full product lifecycle - from requirements capture through design, development, testing, and delivery to production - on projects ranging from proof-of-concept work to working prototypes.

Responsibilities

  • Using SolidWorks and other 3D CAD tools, you will design a wide variety of solutions including products, assembly jigs, test equipment, and instrumentation.
  • You will present proposed solutions through sketches, animations, and renderings.
  • You will get hands-on with build, testing, and troubleshooting.
