I’m currently recruiting for a very complex and interesting Senior Mechanical Engineer role, in Cambridge, that will really test your inventive nature while you invent new medical devices technologies.
Based in Cambridge, you will work with scientists, physicists and other mechanical and electronic design specialists to invent new lifesaving technologies.
You will be working within highly complex fields of the medical devices sector, including fluid mechanics, biomedical engineering and other complex areas.
Part of your role as a Senior Mechanical Engineer will be the coaching and mentoring of junior members of staff.
Due to this you will need to have been successful in this type of role for a while, ideally in industry.
Ideally, you will have worked on a number of different types of medical devices invention, this could have been with a few different companies, with a larger company with multiple product types or within a design consultancy.
It is essential that you have worked on the invention or medical devices in the past, there are not many other sectors that work to as stringent regulations.
We may also be interested if you have worked in highly scientific fields on fluid mechanics technologies.
You would mainly be using Pro-E and Solid Works, however if you have used other 3D CAD tools in the past we are sure you can pick up Pro-E and Solid Works.
It is expected that you would hold a degree within mechanical engineering, biomedical or other relevant fields.
If you hold a Ph D, this would be advantageous, but industry experience is essential.
Due to the complex nature of this work, I expect a lot of interest from people who want to be challenged daily with problems they will not encounter with other companies.
