Responsibilities

  • Work out the best business development plans for products and services that combine biology and engineering.
  • Execute the business development plans and lead obtained projects.
  • Conduct consultative conversations with new clients and translate customer needs to key people within the business.
  • Act as the face of the business and collaborate with customers across the globe and across multiple sites.
  • Translate customer requirements into actionable information for internal teams.
  • Operate in a commercial role that values hands-on scientific insight alongside business development experience.
  • Maintain autonomy in the role with guidance from senior colleagues, following a defined career path.

Qualifications / Experience

  • Hands-on scientific background in the biotechnology sector, ideally in biomanufacturing and/or synthetic biology.
  • Experience in business development or commercial roles within biotech or related fields.
  • Ability to work with customers across the globe and across multiple sites, translating needs to internal teams.
  • Open to candidates already in senior roles or those seeking a step up in responsibility.
  • Experience in cellular agriculture, bio-based chemical manufacturing, or biomanufacturing is preferred.
