Founded in 1873, Newton Abbot Rugby Club is a proud and growing community club based in the heart of South Devon. We’re home to senior men’s and women’s rugby, a thriving junior and mini section, and a dedicated team of volunteers, members, and partners who help make the club what it is.
We’re more than just matchdays – we’re a hub for events, grassroots development, and creating lasting community impact.
About the Role
We’re looking for a creative, proactive, and community-minded individual to take the lead on our marketing and communications. From social media and email newsletters to event promotion and partner content, you’ll be responsible for how the club presents itself across digital and print platforms.
You’ll work closely with the rugby, events, and commercial teams to tell our story, promote our activities, and celebrate the people who make the club special.
What You’ll Be Doing
- Managing and growing the club’s social media presence
- Designing and sending email campaigns and monthly newsletters
- Creating matchday programmes and digital assets
- Keeping the website up to date and engaging
- Promoting club events and community initiatives
- Supporting partner and sponsor activations with high-quality content
- Showcasing our volunteers, teams, and grassroots success stories
Who We’re Looking For
- Confident communicator with a flair for writing and storytelling
- Strong design skills using tools like Canva or Adobe Express
- Some experience with social media platforms and website management
- Well-organised and comfortable working across multiple projects
- Passionate about community sport and club values
- A self-starter who enjoys working as part of a small, committed team
