About Us
New Timber Spaces Ltd is a small, busy fabrication, installation and construction company specialising in timber frame buildings, typically garden rooms and small extensions, although our portfolio extends beyond these. The team currently consists of owner manager and Financial Controller, along with 7 carpenters/installers plus contracted electricians, plumbers and plasterers. We are seeking a detail-oriented support professional to join our knowledgeable team and contribute to our continued growth. With around ~40 projects per year coordination and scheduling is vital to our continued success.
Job Summary
Supporting myriad small construction projects from Sales order process through to project completion. Coordinating with NTS workforce, customers, suppliers, partners and contractors. Instigating project controls to help support the onsite teams with operational/construction process, timesheet records, job allocation and meeting project timelines.
Key Responsibilities
- Project Planning, Analysis & Administration
- Ensure project documentation is accurately recorded and maintained.
- Develop and maintain project records.
- Track project costs, including labour, materials, and subcontractor expenses.
- Scheduling and monitoring project timelines and milestones.
- Implement project close-out including final financial reconciliation and reporting.
- Cost Control and Budgeting
- Establish cost control systems and procedures for larger projects, ensuring expenditures are allocated to correct projects.
- Review and approve project-related invoices and purchase orders.
About You
This position will suit an individual looking for a flexible, part time role, experienced in organising, coordinating and aligning activities to ensure an overall project is successfully delivered. Although a background within the building sector is desirable, it is not essential, and experience in hospitality, logistics, event management or sales administration would likely have transferable skills. Along with proven proficiency of the below, you will have a versatile enthusiastic approach to work.
- Strong analytical and administration skills with attention to detail.
- Office 365, HubSpot CRM or similar, and or Project Management Software.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Knowledge of construction advantageous.
