The Cloud Manager will assist in the design, delivery, and administration of Cloud solutions (Microsoft, Google, AWS etc.) to meet technical requirements and business needs. You will collaborate with Business users, IT personnel and key stakeholders to maximize the capabilities and usefulness of Cloud environments (Microsoft, Google, AWS etc.). You will be the subject matter expert on Cloud Infrastructure with an emphasis on Microsoft Azure.
This is a combination of a hands-on technical role along with an oversight and strategic component involved in developing cloud strategy, overseeing architecture, managing cloud operations, security, costs, and potentially leading teams and vendor relationships.
This is a full-time role, with the ability to work from home anywhere in the UK or from our London Canary office during the hours of 9am to 6pm, Monday to Friday.
Key Responsibilities:
Platforms
- Working with multiple cloud platforms including Microsoft 365, Google, Azure, and AWS, depending on tasks set. Primary focus being Microsoft Azure.
- Design, develop, and maintain our data processing and analytics infrastructure on the Azure platform.
- Provision and managing various Azure resources (VMs, App Services, storage).
- Implement and managing Azure networking.
- Implement security, privacy, and compliance measures.
- Monitor resources and implementing backup and recovery.
- Implement scaling and auto-scaling.
- Diagnosing and resolving Azure issues.
- Drive projects independently.
- Drive automation and evaluating emerging technologies.
- Deliver advanced AI solutions at a rapid pace.
- Collaborate with Business users, IT personnel, and key stakeholders, Cybersecurity teams, Cloud Engineers, DevOps teams, IT support staff, Product Owners and Architects, and participates in team meetings and workshops.
Documentation
- Document business processes, changes, and technical details.
- Develops policies and procedures in collaboration with stakeholders.
- Keep skills current by learning new IT solutions and updating existing ones.
- Evaluate emerging technologies.
- Provide training and guidance to IT teams on cloud technologies.
- Provide training and guidance to relevant parties on cloud technologies, automation, and security best practices.
- Support the team on various IT projects.
- Proactively identify new solutions to improve operations and champion the rollout of these solutions.
- Any other reasonable duties to meet the needs of the business.
Qualifications:
- Experience relating to the job responsibilities plus a strong u nderstanding of cloud computing technology (Microsoft, Google, AWS etc.)
- Knowledge of Microsoft Azure Platform with a s trong understanding of Azure offerings.
- Experience with Azure Active Directory, p rovisioning Azure Services .
- Familiarity with automation tools like Terraform and Ansible.
- Understanding of CI/CD pipelines and Infrastructure-as-Code ( IaC ).
- Microsoft Azure certifications are beneficial.
