A growing, highly successful international manufacturing and multi-channel business is seeking a commercially focused Financial Analyst to play a pivotal role in developing its financial reporting, business intelligence and decision-making capability.

Following significant investment in new systems and reporting infrastructure, this is an exciting opportunity to join the business at a transformational stage. Working closely with senior leadership, you'll help shape the way financial performance is measured, reported and understood across the organisation.

This is far more than a reporting role. You'll partner with stakeholders across Finance, Operations, Sales and Commercial teams, delivering meaningful insight into profitability, pricing, margins, inventory and business performance while driving improvements in data quality and reporting processes.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Produce insightful financial and commercial analysis across products, customers, channels and territories.
  • Analyse profitability, gross margins, pricing and cost performance, identifying trends and opportunities to improve business performance.
  • Partner with senior stakeholders to support strategic decision-making through high-quality financial insight.
  • Develop and enhance management reporting, dashboards and KPI reporting.
  • Improve data integrity and reporting accuracy by working collaboratively across multiple business functions.
  • Support budgeting, forecasting and monthly management reporting.
  • Play an active role in the ongoing development of ERP and Business Intelligence reporting capabilities.
  • Continuously identify opportunities to automate, streamline and improve financial processes.
About You:

You'll be an inquisitive and commercially minded finance professional who enjoys getting beneath the surface of the numbers and influencing business decisions.

You'll ideally bring:

  • Experience in a Financial Analyst, Commercial Finance or FP&A role.
  • ACA, ACCA or CIMA qualification is preferred, although finalist or strong qualified by experience candidates with relevant commercial analysis expertise will also be considered.
  • Strong commercial acumen with excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Advanced Excel capability and experience working with ERP systems.
  • A background within manufacturing, product-based, ecommerce or multi-channel businesses.
  • Exposure to BI/reporting tools such as Power BI is essential, with knowledge of Apache Superset or similar would be advantageous.
