Are you an Order to Cash leader who isn't afraid to challenge the status quo?
Do you know what best-in-class O2C looks like and have the drive to transform processes through automation, AI and continuous improvement?
A leading international professional services organisation is seeking an experienced Order to Cash (O2C) Process Lead to take ownership of its UK revenue cycle within a large, complex, multi-entity business.
This is far more than an operational leadership role.
We're looking for a change agent - someone who can modernise the Order to Cash function, introduce smarter ways of working and embed a culture of continuous improvement.
You'll have the autonomy to challenge existing processes, identify automation and AI opportunities, and help shape a best-in-class finance operation.
The Opportunity
Reporting into senior finance leadership, you'll lead the UK Order to Cash function, managing a small team while partnering with stakeholders across Finance and the wider business to optimise billing, collections, cash application, credit management and working capital performance.
Success in this role won't simply be measured by operational delivery, but by your ability to improve efficiency, enhance controls, leverage technology and deliver sustainable process improvements across the entire revenue cycle.
Key Responsibilities
- Own and optimise the end-to-end Order to Cash process, from billing through to cash collection and allocation.
- Challenge existing ways of working and drive continuous improvement across the function.
- Identify and implement automation and AI opportunities to streamline processes, improve reporting and reduce manual intervention.
- Deliver measurable improvements in cash collection, debtor performance and working capital.
- Develop meaningful KPIs, dashboards and management information to drive operational performance.
- Lead finance transformation initiatives, systems enhancements and process standardisation.
- Strengthen financial controls, governance and compliance across the O2C function.
- Partner with senior stakeholders to improve billing accuracy, resolve disputes and influence behavioural change across the business.
- Lead, coach and develop a high-performing Order to Cash team.
About You
We're looking for someone who combines operational excellence with a transformation mindset.
You’ll ideally have
- At least five years' experience leading an Order to Cash or Accounts Receivable function.
- A recognised accounting qualification or CICM accreditation.
- Strong knowledge of billing, cash application, collections, credit management and working capital.
- Experience delivering finance transformation, process improvement and operational change within a complex organisation.
- A track record of reducing aged debt while maintaining strong customer relationships.
- Experience identifying automation opportunities and using technology to improve efficiency; exposure to AI-enabled solutions would be a distinct advantage.
- Strong SAP (General Ledger/Sales Ledger) knowledge together with solid Excel skills.
- Outstanding stakeholder management skills with the confidence to influence senior leaders and challenge established processes.
- A passion for continuous improvement and the ability to recognise what 'good' looks like, then build a roadmap to get there.
Why Apply?
This is an opportunity to make a genuine impact - not simply manage an existing process.
You’ll join an organisation that wants fresh thinking, values innovation and is looking for someone who can leave the function in a significantly better place than they found it.
If you're an Order to Cash leader who enjoys challenging convention, embracing technology and driving meaningful operational change, we'd love to hear from you.
