Financial Reporting Specialist | London | Hybrid Permanent | Salary up to £75k + Benefits A leading international business is looking to appoint a Financial Reporting Specialist to join its UK finance function in a hands on role supporting financial reporting, accounting control and continuous improvement across a complex, multi-entity environment.
Based in Central London with hybrid working, this is an excellent opportunity for a qualified accountant who enjoys working across technical accounting, financial reporting and process improvement.
The
Role: You will play a key role in ensuring the accuracy, integrity and timeliness of financial reporting across a complex UK group, working closely with senior finance stakeholders, international teams and external auditors.
Key
Responsibilities: Supporting the monthly close and production of management accounts and reporting packs.
Reviewing balance sheet accounts, estimates and key accounting judgements.
Managing inter-company accounting and reconciliations across multiple entities and jurisdictions.
Overseeing fixed asset and capital accounting.
Preparing and reviewing balance sheet reconciliations, focusing on material and high risk accounts.
Preparing statutory financial statements and supporting year-end audit processes.
Supporting VAT accounting and returns, together with elements of corporate tax accounting.
Ensuring compliance with UK GAAP, IFRS and statutory reporting requirements.
Identifying opportunities to improve reporting processes, controls, automation and standardisation.
- What We're
- Looking
For: Qualified accountant (ACA, ACCA or CIMA).
Around 3-5 years' post qualified experience within a large, complex organisation.
Strong financial accounting and financial control experience.
Good knowledge of UK GAAP, IFRS and statutory reporting.
Experience working across multiple legal entities, ideally within a complex or matrix organisation.
Multi-currency experience would be advantageous.
Strong Excel skills and experience handling large data sets.
Hands on SAP experience, particularly General Ledger/FICO, is essential.
BPC experience would be advantageous.
Excellent attention to detail, with the ability to manage multiple priorities and tight deadlines.
A proactive, solutions focused approach with a genuine interest in process improvement.
Strong communication and stakeholder management skills, including the confidence to work with non finance stakeholders.
