Based in Central London with hybrid working, this is an excellent opportunity for a qualified accountant who enjoys working across technical accounting, financial reporting and process improvement.

The Role:

You will play a key role in ensuring the accuracy, integrity and timeliness of financial reporting across a complex UK group, working closely with senior finance stakeholders, international teams and external auditors.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Supporting the monthly close and production of management accounts and reporting packs.
  • Reviewing balance sheet accounts, estimates and key accounting judgements.
  • Managing inter-company accounting and reconciliations across multiple entities and jurisdictions.
  • Overseeing fixed asset and capital accounting.
  • Preparing and reviewing balance sheet reconciliations, focusing on material and high risk accounts.
  • Preparing statutory financial statements and supporting year-end audit processes.
  • Supporting VAT accounting and returns, together with elements of corporate tax accounting.
  • Ensuring compliance with UK GAAP, IFRS and statutory reporting requirements.
  • Identifying opportunities to improve reporting processes, controls, automation and standardisation.

What We're Looking For:

  • Qualified accountant (ACA, ACCA or CIMA).
  • Around 3-5 years' post qualified experience within a large, complex organisation.
  • Strong financial accounting and financial control experience.
  • Good knowledge of UK GAAP, IFRS and statutory reporting.
  • Experience working across multiple legal entities, ideally within a complex or matrix organisation.
  • Multi-currency experience would be advantageous.
  • Strong Excel skills and experience handling large data sets.
  • Hands on SAP experience, particularly General Ledger/FICO, is essential.
  • BPC experience would be advantageous.
  • Excellent attention to detail, with the ability to manage multiple priorities and tight deadlines.
  • A proactive, solutions focused approach with a genuine interest in process improvement.
  • Strong communication and stakeholder management skills, including the confidence to work with non finance stakeholders.

Why Consider It?

This is a broad financial reporting role offering exposure to technical accounting, statutory reporting, inter-company, VAT, controls and finance transformation within a large and complex organisation.

If you're a qualified accountant looking for a role where you can combine strong technical accounting skills with process improvement and wider commercial exposure, this could be a good next step.
