Newstaff Employment Services is seeking diligent Prep Assistants for our lab environment, specifically focusing on handling soil samples. This position is ideal for individuals who are physically fit and capable of heavy lifting, as the role requires the movement and preparation of various soil samples for analysis. Your work will directly contribute to the quality of research and testing processes within the lab.
As a Prep Assistant in our lab, you will be tasked with the preparation, labeling, and organization of soil samples, ensuring that all processes are conducted in accordance with laboratory standards. Responsibilities- Prepare and label soil samples for analysis and testing in the laboratory.
- Perform heavy lifting to transport soil samples and equipment as required.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization in the lab area to ensure operational efficiency.
- Assist laboratory technicians with various tasks to support sample analysis.
- Follow all safety protocols and procedures to ensure a safe working environment.
- Document sample handling and report any issues or discrepancies to supervisors.
- Previous experience working in a lab environment is beneficial but not mandatory.
- Physical fitness to handle heavy lifting and extended periods of standing.
- Strong attention to detail and the ability to follow procedures accurately.
- Ability to work collaboratively in a team-oriented environment.
