Salary: Competitive daily rate (dependent on experience and qualifications)

We are seeking dedicated and compassionate SEND and SEMH Support Staff to work within schools and educational provisions supporting children and young people with Special Educational Needs and Disabilities (SEND) and Social, Emotional and Mental Health (SEMH) needs.

This is a rewarding opportunity to make a meaningful difference by supporting pupils who require additional academic, emotional, and behavioural support to access education successfully.

The Role:

  • Provide 1:1 and small group support to pupils with SEND and SEMH needs
  • Support students with learning, emotional regulation, and behaviour strategies
  • Assist teachers in delivering tailored learning activities
  • Promote positive engagement and inclusion within the classroom
  • Implement Individual Education Plans (IEPs) and behaviour support strategies
  • Build positive, trusting relationships with pupils
  • Support safeguarding and wellbeing at all times

Desirable not essential

  • Experience working with children or young people (school, care, youth work, or similar)
  • Understanding of SEND and/or SEMH needs (e.g., ASD, ADHD, anxiety, behavioural needs)
  • Calm, patient, and resilient approach
  • Strong communication and teamwork skills
  • Enhanced DBS on the Update Service (or willingness to obtain one)
  • Right to work in the UK
