HGV 2 Flat Bed Driver to join our team in Hockliffe.

In this role, you will be responsible for the safe transportation of goods utilising flatbed vehicles.

This position requires a professional driver who is experienced in securing loads and delivering various types of heavy goods.

As a crucial part of our logistics operation, you will ensure that deliveries are made on time and that loads are handled with care.

Responsibilities

  • Operate HGV 2 flatbed vehicles for the transport of goods to various locations.
  • Secure loads on flatbed trailers to ensure safety during transit.
  • Conduct pre- and post-trip inspections of vehicles and report any maintenance issues.
  • Maintain accurate delivery documentation and logs.
  • Communicate effectively with dispatch and customers regarding delivery details and schedules.
  • Adhere to all traffic laws and company policies regarding vehicle operation and safety.
  • Assist with loading and unloading cargo as required, ensuring proper handling techniques are used.

Requirements

  • Valid HGV 2 (Class 2) driving license.
  • Previous experience as a Flat Bed Driver is preferred.
  • Strong understanding of load securing techniques and regulations.
  • Excellent driving record with a commitment to safety.
