Newstaff is recruiting on behalf of a well-established company specialising in the installation, servicing, and repair of manual and motorised roller shutters across the UK. The Role
You will be responsible for the installation, servicing, maintenance, and repair of roller shutter systems at commercial sites across the UK.
Duties include:
- Installing and repairing manual and motorised roller shutters
- Fault finding and carrying out repairs
- Working as part of a two-person engineering team
- Completing site surveys and job documentation
- Using hand and power tools safely
- Providing excellent customer service on-site
- Occasional overnight stays when required
- Early starts and late finishes depending on project locations
Who We're Looking For
We would like to hear from candidates who have:
- Previous experience installing or repairing roller shutters, industrial doors, automatic doors, gates, access systems, or similar equipment
- A practical, hands-on approach and good problem-solving skills
- A full UK Driving Licence
- Good communication and customer service skills
- The ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Strong attention to detail when completing paperwork and surveys
Trainee Opportunities Available
We are also interested in speaking to candidates who may not have direct shutter experience but have a strong mechanical aptitude and can learn quickly. If you are reliable, hardworking, technically minded, and keen to develop a specialist trade, full training can be provided for the right person.

Working Hours:
Monday to Friday, 8:30am – 6:00pm. Overtime paid after 42.5 hours per week.
