Sewing Operatives needed for the Milton Keynes Area.
Monday to Thursday 6am to 3pm, Friday 6am to 12pm or you can work 7am to 1pm.
Pay Rate: £12.50 – £14.00 per hour (depending on experience).
Top Sewing Operatives to join our client’s team in Milton Keynes. This is an excellent opportunity for experienced sewing professionals to work in a fast-paced and supportive manufacturing environment producing high-quality products.
Responsibilities:- Operate and set up industrial sewing machines to produce Fireblock, Upholstery fabric, for Leather aircraft seat cushion covers.
- Read and interpret work orders, process sheets, patterns, and technical drawings.
- Match and prepare materials, including selecting the correct fabric, thread, and needles.
- Monitor machine operation and perform basic maintenance.
- Inspect finished products and report any defects (e.g., faulty stitching, thread breaks).
- Ensure all work complies with AS9100 Quality Standards.
- Keep work areas clean, safe, and organized.
- Perform other related duties as required.
- Proven experience using industrial sewing machines (test required).
- Strong attention to detail and high level of craftsmanship.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Good standard of spoken and written English.
- Ability to follow detailed verbal and written instructions.
- Comfortable working in a fast-paced production environment.
