HGV2 Driver – Bedford

Newstaff Employment is hiring an experienced HGV2 Driver in Bedford to join a leading distributor specialising in plumbing products. This is a temp‑to‑perm opportunity, offering stable long‑term employment after 12 weeks with the agency.

Location: Bedford

Salary: £16.00 per hour (PAYE)

Working Hours: Start times between 5:00 am – 7:00 am

Job Type: Full-time, Temp to Perm (12 weeks with Newstaff)

Key Responsibilities

• Deliver plumbing products across the South East region.
• Complete daily vehicle checks and ensure the vehicle is roadworthy.
• Load and unload goods safely, following all manual handling guidelines.
• Provide excellent customer service at every delivery point.
• Maintain accurate delivery paperwork and comply with company procedures.

Essential Skills & Experience

• Minimum of 6 months’ experience on a Class 2 (HGV2) licence (insurance requirement).
• Valid UK Category C licence, CPC card, and Digital Tachograph.
• Professional, reliable, and committed to safe driving practices.
• Customer‑friendly attitude with good communication skills.
• Available for an immediate start.
