Newstaff are currently recruiting for a reliable and proactive School Site Agent to join a friendly and supportive school team on a temp-to-perm basis. This is a great opportunity for someone with experience in site maintenance and facilities to contribute to the smooth running of a school environment.
Key Responsibilities:
Open and close the school premises daily, ensuring all buildings and grounds are secure
Carry out general maintenance, minor repairs, and DIY tasks
Oversee health and safety compliance across the school site
Support contractors and oversee onsite works as required
Maintain cleanliness and tidiness of the school grounds
Perform routine checks on fire alarms, emergency lighting, and security systems
Respond promptly to any site issues or emergencies
Requirements:
Previous experience as a Site Agent, Caretaker, or in a similar facilities/maintenance role
Knowledge of basic plumbing, electrics, and general repairs
Good understanding of health & safety regulations
Enhanced DBS (or willingness to obtain one)
Reliable, hardworking, and flexible approach to duties
Ability to work independently and as part of a team
Competitive hourly pay with weekly pay during temp period
