Trainee Print Audience and Content Editor

Description

We are seeking a Trainee Print ACE (Audience and Content Editor) to work on editing and designing pages across our Newsquest daily and weekly titles within our North of England print production hub.

Key Responsibilities

This role will see you allocate, edit and send pages ready for publication on our flagship titles in the region, including The Northern Echo, York Press and Telegraph & Argus.

Skills, Knowledge & Expertise

We are seeking an outstanding trainee (ideally with NCTJ prelims, including law) to gain experience with some of the largest regional news brands in the UK.

You will ideally be versed in editing copy and willing to develop your skills, while also learning design skills to work on our front pages, ensuring they stand out on newsstands.

It’s a fast-paced working environment with plenty to do, so being flexible for early, late, and weekend work on a rota basis - and having a positive attitude - is key.

The role will be split between working in one of our regional offices and home-based working.
