Are you creative, organised and passionate about delivering in-paper promotions and events that delight our readers? We are looking for a Promotions & Consumer Event Sales Executive to help drive reader engagement, newspaper sales, and consumer event success across our portfolio of trusted regional brands in Essex.

This is a varied and exciting role where no two days are the same. You will create and deliver innovative promotional campaigns, manage competitions, support major marketing initiatives, and help maximise sales and engagement at consumer events. This role offers the opportunity to work with some of the region's most well-known media brands in a fast-paced, creative and supportive working environment. You will play a key role in creating exciting promotions, engaging campaigns and successful events that connect with thousands of readers across our areas.

Hybrid working is available with a minimum of two days per week in the office. Full training and support will be provided, along with career development opportunities within one of the UK's leading regional media companies and a competitive salary and benefits package.

Key Responsibilities
  • Developing and delivering in-paper promotional campaigns that increase newspaper sales.
  • Creating reader competitions, supplements and engagement initiatives.
  • Working closely with editorial, sales, marketing and design teams to maximise campaign impact.
  • Tracking and reporting campaign performance and entry data.
  • Producing marketing plans and promotional proposals for major campaigns.
  • Managing outdoor events, including staffing, stock control, sales tracking and revenue reporting.
  • Ensuring our brands are represented professionally and positively at all events.
Skills, Knowledge and Expertise
  • Excellent organisational and time management skills.
  • A creative thinker with a passion for marketing and promotions.
  • Strong communication and relationship-building abilities.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines simultaneously.
  • A proactive and positive approach to problem-solving.
  • Experience in marketing, promotions, sales, events or audience engagement would be advantageous but is not essential, as full training and support will be provided.
  • Comfortable working independently and as part of a collaborative team.
  • Full UK driving licence due to occasional travel and event attendance.
