Overview

We\’re looking for a reporter to join our Norwich newsroom to cover stories from our community. You will be covering a \’district\’ area for one of our weekly titles, while also contributing to the Eastern Daily Press. Your reporting will be wide-ranging, including court cases and inquest hearings, to focus on the stories that matter most to readers.

Responsibilities

  • Contribute to the weekly editions of our newspapers covering stories across Norfolk and Waveney.
  • Work alongside an experienced existing team.
  • Receive support to help you qualify as a senior reporter and progress within the company.

Skills, Knowledge and Expertise

  • Be fast, first and accurate, working alongside like-minded digital reporters.
  • Publish stories across social media and digital platforms while working on more in-depth stories in the background.
  • Cover a range of topics and optimise content for social and search audiences.
  • Work within IPSO regulations, as well as legal and ethical guidelines.

Reporters should hold NCTJ qualifications, with shorthand being preferable, or possess an equivalent qualification. They must have a driving licence.
