Description
As a Merchandiser, you\’ll visit existing key newsagents on a rota basis, ensuring the Eastern Daily Press and Dereham & Fakenham Times are displayed effectively, and that promotional material is current, up-to-date, and projects the image that a modern regional newspaper would expect.
Key Responsibilities
- Make frequent visits to retailers as per your call cycle.
- Ensure our newspapers and magazines are displayed effectively and that all point-of-sale materials are current and promote the titles.
- Report back any opportunities to supply extra copies so that we have full availability every week without over-supplying.
- As and when possible, identify potential new retail outlets and discuss with your Manager.
- Communicate, when necessary, with the editorial team, reporting back any opportunities.
Skills, Knowledge & Expertise
- You will be a strong face-to-face communicator and be self-motivated, as this role is primarily solo-based with the support of a remote team.
- Every day is different, and so you\’ll be flexible whilst also being determined to get the job done and achieve targets.
- Ideally, living in West Norfolk (not a necessity), you will have the ability to make 20 to 25 retailer visits in any given day.
- Please note, you must hold a full driving licence and have access to a vehicle insured for business purposes.
