LOCALiQ are a digital agency within the Newsquest Media Group, and we are looking to recruit a Digital PR Specialist to join the SEO department in our wider digital marketing team. Our Digital PR Specialist will strengthen the delivery of successful campaigns for our clients. The main duty of the role will be to obtain high authority backlinks through research-based, proactive or reactive digital PR campaigns. You will use a range of data sources, industry insight and creativity to construct and deliver impactful campaigns that can be pitched to journalists at reputable press publications. This role offers the opportunity to play a key part in shaping digital PR activity for a varied client base, while continuing to develop your skills within a growing and supportive SEO team. As a business, we pride ourselves on our commitment to self-learning and continuous opportunities for growth across the group. Please note that whilst the role is remote, the successful candidate will be required to work in the UK.
Key Responsibilities
- Developing campaign ideas from scratch, working alongside the client’s SEO Analyst
- Conducting research using multiple data sources
- Speaking to clients to gather thoughts and quotes for inclusion in potential stories
- Writing press releases and stories in flawless English
- Pitching stories to journalists
- Tracking news, events and wider media for relevant trends and opportunities
- Following up with journalists and ensuring clients are accredited with backlinks
- Tracking campaign progress and ensuring deadlines are met
- Leading the ongoing development of outreach processes and strategies
- Staying up to date with the latest developments in digital PR and outreach
- Proactively identifying opportunities across all clients
Skills, Knowledge & Expertise
- Demonstrable experience creating impactful research-based, proactive or reactive digital PR campaigns across multiple industries
- A high level of creativity with the ability to generate relevant and newsworthy stories
- A strong understanding of news and media content, with regular engagement across formats
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills with strong attention to detail
- Strong research and data analysis skills to uncover relevant stories
- The ability to manage multiple projects and priorities across different clients and industries
- Confidence in building and managing relationships both internally and externally
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office
