A private family office is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Handyman to support the ongoing maintenance of a large private estate in Beaconsfield, with occasional work required at six additional managed properties in and around London.

Working as part of a small, established estate team (including a gardener, cleaners, and driver), the successful candidate will report directly to the Estate Manager and play a key role in ensuring the estate is maintained to the highest standards.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Carrying out plumbing, electrical, and carpentry tasks
  • Painting, plastering, decorating, and high-quality finishing works
  • General DIY tasks (e.g., fitting shelves, hanging pictures)
  • Installing household appliances and repairing lighting
  • Ordering and maintaining maintenance supplies
  • Maintaining building exteriors (fences, walls, hedging, gutter cleaning)
  • Operating basic farming/land machinery (e.g. ATV/Tractor)
  • Assisting with grounds maintenance and occasional livestock handling
  • Maintaining Health & Safety logs and undertaking basic H&S responsibilities
  • Liaising with family members and external contractors to agree scope and timelines for works
Candidate Requirements:
  • Minimum 5 years' relevant hands-on experience
  • Strong all-round practical skill set with high attention to detail
  • Confident working independently and managing varied ad hoc tasks
  • Professional, discreet and reliable
  • Strong communication skills and ability to coordinate with contractors
  • Ideally some experience with Health & Safety management
  • Full, clean UK driving licence
