We are looking for an energetic and ambitious candidate to support a team of analysts working on a real-time market news desk. The role would suit a school or college leaver. You will desire to work in and learn more about financial markets, with a long-term view of becoming a Junior Market Analyst. You will receive both practical and theoretical training on the job from experienced financial market professionals.
JOB SPEC:
- To provide administrative support to the markets desk, including entering information on our back-end systems.
- The role will involve compiling briefings and research documents that will need to be published on our platform.
- You will have good research abilities and will not be troubled by independently looking for key information and presenting it to an analyst.
THE DESIRED CANDIDATE:
- Education: GCSE and A-level candidates will be considered.
- Work experience: Any experience in administration using a back-end CRM system would be viewed favourably.
- We\'d like to see evidence of hard work in challenging conditions, with a commitment to high standards.
- Financial markets knowledge: While not essential, any experience or understanding of financial markets will be advantageous.
- Good communication: Our service is broadcast over an audio feed; strong writing skills and polished spoken English are key. You will also need to demonstrate attention to detail. Quick typing skills are also required.
- A willingness to learn: you will need to demonstrate an ability to learn new, complex concepts quickly.
- Ambitious: The successful candidate will be put on a path to become a Junior Market Analyst. Our team will give you on-the-job training, so we are looking for a committed individual.
