NewSpace Technical is supporting a high-growth space technology company as they look to hire a Solutions Engineer to join their growing Commercial team. This is an exciting opportunity for a technically strong individual to sit at the intersection of space technology, geospatial data, software and commercial development - acting as a technical lead throughout the customer journey.

The role

  • You'll work closely with Commercial and Product teams to:
  • Lead the technical side of customer engagements and sales opportunities
  • Evaluate customer requirements and translate them into effective technical solutions
  • Build software tools, demonstrations and sample applications using APIs and platform technology
  • Deliver technical presentations, workshops and customer demos
  • Develop technical proposals and contribute to tenders, RFIs and RFPs
  • Build trusted technical relationships with customers and partners
  • Support industry events and conferences
  • Feed customer insights back into the Product team to influence future development
  • Help develop scalable technical and commercial processes as the business grows

What we're looking for

  • We're particularly interested in candidates with experience across:
  • Solutions Engineering / Pre-Sales / Technical Product Support
  • GIS and remote sensing
  • Geospatial data and applications
  • Customer-facing technical engagements
  • Technical presentations, workshops and demonstrations
  • Troubleshooting and resolving complex technical problems
  • Working across technical and non-technical stakeholders
  • Experience within satellite imagery, Earth Observation, defence or other space-related applications would be highly advantageous, although candidates with strong transferable experience will also be considered.

Location: London – Hybrid

The role involves two days per week in the London office, with occasional travel required.
