Electronic Technician – Space Hardware

Ever wanted to work on real space missions but thought you needed space-sector experience to get in? You don’t.

We’re working with a fast-growing, international space technology company building high-performance electronic systems for satellites used around the world. We’re looking for a Senior Electronics Technician to take a hands-on lead role assembling, integrating, and testing advanced electronics that will fly in space.

If you’re an experienced electronics technician who\’s worked on advanced electronic systems, this is a great opportunity if you\’d like to transition into the space industry.

🔧 What you’ll be doing

Hand-soldering and assembling high-reliability PCBAs (fine-pitch SMT, microscope work)
Building complex wiring harnesses and electro-mechanical assemblies
Integrating and testing electronic systems end-to-end
Troubleshooting at component and system level
Working closely with engineers on cutting-edge space hardware
Maintaining production and test documentation to high quality standards
Supporting lab equipment, inventory, and continuous improvement

🧠 What we’re looking for

HNC/HND (or equivalent) in Electronics or similar
5–10+ years hands-on electronics assembly, test, and fault-finding experience
Strong soldering skills (SMT & through-hole)
Experience with embedded electronics and production test environments
Comfortable working to detailed drawings, procedures, and quality standards
Space experience not required – training provided
