One of the UK’s largest and most high-profile infrastructure programmes has engaged our services to appoint a HR Director to lead the organisation’s people agenda. This role will provide strategic counsel on all people-related matters, including attraction, development, retention and engagement, alongside the management of associated risks and mitigation. The successful candidate will be instrumental in shaping and delivering a transformational people strategy aligned to the programme’s scale and complexity.
We are seeking an experienced HR leader with a track record in major project environments and complex organisations, delivering significant capital infrastructure investment. The ability to operate effectively with, and influence, government stakeholders is essential. This is a rare opportunity to play a pivotal role in a nationally significant programme, offering both challenge and the chance to leave a lasting legacy.
Key Accountabilities- Provide strategic leadership for the development and delivery of the HR Strategy including HR Operational activities, Resourcing, Strategic Workforce Planning, Equality Diversity & Inclusion, Organisational Culture, Change & Capability, Reward & Employment and Industrial Relations.
- Support the Renumeration and Nominations Committee in line with the Terms of Reference, offering guidance and support to ensure the smooth operation of the committees and reporting to the Board.
- Manage relationships with key external stakeholders including the project sponsoring Department, Cabinet Office and Treasury to ensure that the necessary approvals and authorisation are obtained on issues such as organisation design, reward structures and senior appointments.
- Provide strategic insights on the people aspects of the organisational change programmes, advise on risks, and manage all people impacts.
