We are seeking an exceptional Health and Safety Director to join the Executive Board of one of the UK’s largest and most complex infrastructure programmes.
Reporting directly to the Chief Executive, you will lead an established function and set the Health and Safety strategy across the organisation.
This is a strategic change role.
As the programme shifts to a new phase, you will anticipate its changing risk profile and deliver a best-in-class zero-harm strategy.
Key responsibilities: Develop, communicate and deliver the Health and Safety strategy across the organisation and its supply chain.
Advise and provide assurance to the Chief Executive and Executive Board on performance, significant risks and critical controls.
Adapt the safety strategy as the programme transitions into a new phase.
Lead organisational and cultural change, strengthening psychological safety and constructive challenge.
Lead, motivate and develop the Health and Safety function, ensuring it has the capability required for the programme’s next phase.
You will bring: Senior Health and Safety leadership experience in a complex, safety-critical environment.
A record of delivering strategic and cultural transformation.
Experience in a client or contractor organisation in complex infrastructure.
The intellect and judgement to shape strategy through changing programme phases.
Executive-level influence and the confidence to challenge constructively.
Experience building alignment across complex delivery partners and supply chains.
