Job Duties
- Assess the needs of service users in partnership with them and their families.
- Formulate and implement personalized care and support plans based on individual needs.
- Administer prescribed medications and monitor service users for side effects and responses.
- Carry out physical health checks, including monitoring blood pressure, glucose, and weight.
- Maintain comprehensive clinical records and prepare relevant reports as necessary.
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to improve the quality of service user experiences and interventions.
- Respond to crises and emotionally demanding situations with empathy and professionalism.
- Lead the clinical care for an assigned caseload of service users.
Job Requirements
- Education: Hold an RMN or a Dip/BSc (Hons) in Mental Health Nursing.
- Experience: A minimum of two years of post-registration experience, including one year at Band 5.
- Skills: Strong communication skills and the ability to work within a multi-disciplinary team.
- Knowledge: Up-to-date awareness of mental health legislation, ethical issues, and safety protocols.
