Job Duties
- Perform routine and specialist infectious disease diagnostic testing across multiple laboratory disciplines.
- Rotate across bacteriology, virology, parasitology, molecular diagnostics, and mycology sections.
- Analyse and interpret laboratory results under supervision of senior biomedical scientists.
- Ensure accurate and timely reporting of clinical results within agreed service standards.
- Maintain compliance with health, safety, and laboratory quality procedures.
- Support validation and improvement of laboratory processes and workflows.
- Provide technical advice to clinicians on test selection and turnaround expectations.
- Participate in quality control, audit activities, and incident reporting procedures.
