The University of the West of Scotland (UWS) is seeking a skilled Programme Manager to lead a portfolio of change programmes and projects at its Paisley Campus. This full-time, 12-month fixed-term role offers a salary of £58,225–£67,468 per annum and may be eligible for Skilled Worker visa sponsorship. The successful candidate will play a key role in driving transformational change and embedding a strong change culture across the University, with opportunities to deputise for the Head of the Programme Management Office (PMO) on specific matters.

As Programme Manager, you will oversee the delivery of multiple projects, ensuring alignment with UWS’s strategic objectives. You will manage inputs from project teams, implement structured benefits realisation processes, and ensure programmes adhere to best practice methodologies such as MSP and PRINCE2. This role requires proactive leadership in managing project resources, financial monitoring, and reporting, while fostering effective communication across academic and professional services teams. You will be instrumental in influencing service standards and supporting higher education administration.

Responsibilities

  • Lead a portfolio of change programmes and projects across the University.
  • Apply programme management methodologies (MSP, PRINCE2) to ensure effective delivery.
  • Embed benefits realisation processes, monitoring outcomes, and reporting progress.
  • Manage project teams, resources, and budgets effectively.
  • Deputise for the Head of PMO on key matters as required.
  • Engage stakeholders at all levels to influence change and set service standards.
  • Oversee administration and higher education processes to align with strategic objectives.
