About the Role
The Senior Infrastructure Engineer role focuses on supporting and maintaining enterprise IT infrastructure across on-premise and cloud environments. Job Duties
- Provide third-line technical support for complex infrastructure issues across networking, cloud, and security systems.
- Design, implement, and maintain IT infrastructure solutions across on-premise and cloud-based environments.
- Collaborate with service desk teams and IT units to ensure seamless service delivery and system performance.
- Monitor infrastructure systems and implement improvements to enhance reliability, security, and efficiency consistently.
- Manage and support infrastructure team members, including providing guidance and performance oversight.
- Maintain and optimize network architecture, telephony systems, and virtualization environments effectively.
- Contribute to ongoing service improvement initiatives and infrastructure modernization strategies across the organization.
Job Requirements
- Degree-level qualification in information technology or equivalent practical experience in infrastructure engineering roles.
- Strong experience working within large and complex IT environments supporting diverse infrastructure systems.
- Expertise in Windows Active Directory, Entra ID, and related authentication and certificate services.
- Knowledge of networking technologies, including WAN, routers, firewalls, VPNs, IDS, and cloud networking solutions.
- Experience with switching technologies, VLANs, BGP, OSPF, and structured cabling systems.
- Familiarity with telephony systems, SIP technologies, and enterprise voice solutions such as Microsoft Teams integration.
- Experience with virtualization technologies across on-premise and cloud platforms, including Microsoft Azure environments.
- Strong analytical, communication, and leadership skills to manage technical teams and projects effectively.
- Eligibility to work in the UK, with visa sponsorship dependent on meeting Skilled Worker requirements.
