About Role
As Deputy General Manager (Clinical), you will act as the Clinical Lead and second-in-command of the care home, working in close partnership with the General Manager.

Responsibilities
Lead and oversee clinical standards, ensuring safe, effective, and compassionate care delivery
Support the General Manager in the overall leadership and performance of the care home
Inspire, manage, and develop a multidisciplinary clinical and care team
Monitor compliance through audits, supervised practice, and regulatory checks
Lead safeguarding processes, clinical risk assessments, and quality improvement initiatives
Support workforce planning, mentoring, and preceptorship for newly qualified nurses
Contribute to strategic planning, budget awareness, and operational performance
Promote a culture of dignity, respect, and person-centred care for all residents
Requirements
Registered Nurse (RN or RMN) with current NMC registration
Recognised teaching, mentoring, or supervision qualification
Proven experience managing complex clinical needs in a care or healthcare setting
Demonstrated experience in safeguarding, clinical governance, and risk managementStrong leadership, people management, and communication skills
Basic understanding of HR processes, budget management, and performance management
Resilient, compassionate, and highly organised leadership style
Willingness and eligibility to work in the UK under the Skilled Worker visa route
