The Commercial team is responsible for the sales, operations, commercial product strategy, and partnerships for News UK's brands including The Sun, The Times, and The Sunday Times.
Our Sales Managers sell market-leading advertising solutions across all platforms, including digital and print display, branded content, video, and programmatic channels, to agency groups. Responsible for building strong relationships at all levels within trading and client services.
Role Objectives:- Develop, pitch, and deliver cross-platform advertising solutions targeting our diverse audience.
- Proactively build and maintain strong relationships within your agency and client patch, focusing on investment, planning, digital, programmatic, and publishing teams.
- Maintain external profile through presentations, meetings, hosting, and attending agency events, being a visible face of News UK in Manchester.
- Understand and apply News UK's first-party data to help secure commercial revenue.
- Work with the team to develop new commercial ideas to drive incremental spend across platforms.
- Collaborate with digital and print teams to ensure campaigns are delivered correctly, on time, and perform well.
- Deliver excellent customer service throughout the sales cycle, including post-campaign analysis.
- Define growth objectives for the agency portfolio through a clear business plan.
- Produce accurate analytical and financial reports, maintain Salesforce records, and collaborate through CRM.
- Ability to create high-quality decks and media plans.
- Data literacy and ability to use 1PD to build sales narratives.
