Join our small dedicated in-house Occupational Health team where you’ll be instrumental in shaping the health and wellbeing agenda of our diverse workforce across News UK.

You will join our expert Occupational Health team reporting directly to the Head of Health & Wellbeing based in London and Broxbourne, ensuring the Occupational Health agenda is positioned at the highest level of strategic business importance.
Responsibilities- Provide specialist occupational health advice and support to line managers and HR Business Partners.
- Assist with preparation of occupational health policies, standards and procedures to ensure evidenced-based practice and compliance.
- Regular liaison with designated personnel.
- Be actively involved in data collection for auditing purposes.
- Collaborative working with key personnel where it has been identified to perform health surveillance and fitness for work health screening. This will include travel to Knowsley (2–3 times) and Eurocentral (Glasgow) once a year.
- Provide managers with occupational health advice on short and long-term sickness absence cases, outlining rehabilitation and redeployment options where appropriate.
- Collaborate with other internal and external support services (e.g., Occupational Health Physician, Physiotherapist, Health and Safety, AXA EAP provider and HR) to ensure a high standard of service within the agreed SLA.
- Support the in-house First Aider and Mental Health First Aiders.
- Provide monthly induction training and support management training programme.
- Partake in the development and delivery of Health and Wellbeing initiatives.
- Review employment health assessment forms within agreed timescales and advise regarding any recommended workplace adjustments.
- Qualified Occupational Health Advisor with 5+ years of experience.
- Experience in complex case management and mental health, giving appropriate advice to HR and Management.
- Specific experience in health surveillance (audiometry, FLT, skin and night workers) would be an advantage.
- Good IT and organisational skills.
