Your role:

You’ll play a pivotal role in ensuring the seamless operation of our editorial team. Your sharp organisational skills and keen eye for detail will help keep our newsroom running efficiently. From managing schedules, helping with and getting involved with projects and coordinating meetings to assisting with editorial tasks, you'll be an essential part of our editorial process.

Day to day you will:

  • Support the Associate Managing Editor with all Newsroom projects and initiatives by providing reporting and progress updates.
  • Support the MEO with ensuring the newsroom is kept up to date via owning and executing a comms plan.
  • Carry out general administrative support for the team which may include some general admin tasks and will include significant input in helping with project management and maintaining records in databases.
  • Identify instances where processes could be developed for improved efficiency and report these to the ME.
  • Develop positive and productive working relationships across key support areas, becoming a point of contact alongside other members of the MEO for Facilities, Technology, Finance and HR.

What we’re looking for from you:

  • Able to work calmly under pressure and meet tight deadlines.
  • Experience of Project Management.
  • Previous experience of admin in a large and fast-paced organisation.
  • An ability to adapt to a changing work environment as required.
  • Punctual and always prepared to ‘go the extra mile’ where necessary.
  • Able to work off own initiative and as part of a team.
  • Knowledge of Microsoft Office packages, especially Word and Excel.
  • Knowledge of Google Mail G-Suite.
  • Track record of having delivered excellent admin support and services.
  • Previous experience assisting with Project Management an advantage.
