The Times is looking for an experienced political journalist to oversee our award-winning newsletter. The successful candidate will be part of our parliamentary team based in Westminster. They will need the ability to find humour in the everyday while also digging out regular exclusives that can be used in the newsletter, on the website and in the paper.
The politics newsletter editor is responsible for writing, editing and publishing our daily politics newsletter. They will write news and analysis for The Times and also make regular appearances on Times Radio.

Responsibilities- Editing and publishing our daily politics newsletter, working with colleagues from across The Times as part of the lobby team.
- Ensuring the newsletter retains its status as one of The Times’s best-performing newsletters.
- Have a strong knowledge of social media and an ability to use it to increase readership and engagement.
- Collaborate with production colleagues in design, pictures and sub-editing on elements that enhance our political newsletter content.
- Build and maintain excellent contacts across all political parties and land exclusive stories.
