Your role:
Focusing on News Corpβs global digital portfolio, the Senior Programmatic Analyst, situated within the global tech programmatic team, plays a pivotal role in maximizing programmatic advertising yield across our many diverse markets. This highly data-centric role involves maintaining and enhancing comprehensive programmatic reporting platforms, ensuring data accuracy, consistency, and reliability.
The analyst will identify meaningful business outcomes and extract valuable insights from billions of rows of data to inform strategy and drive results. Close collaboration with programmatic leads from each individual business unit is essential to align strategies and ensure optimal performance, leveraging data-driven insights to enhance the programmatic ad stacks across News Corpβs properties.
Day to day you will:
β Maximize programmatic ad revenues by developing effective yield strategies.
β Continually analyse and improve the programmatic ad stack, ad server, revenue opportunities/risks.
β Identify and propose revenue-boosting opportunities through detailed analysis of product, audience, and inventory performance data.
β Develop quantitative analysis, statistical models, A/B and multivariate testing to support stakeholder decision-making.
β Maintain and enhance all programmatic reporting platforms and analysis tools.
β Ensure data quality and reliability by working closely with data & technology teams to sustain the integrity of log level data and programmatic reporting data pipelines.
β Monitor key performance metrics, identifying trends and opportunities for improvement.
β Align strategies with business unit programmatic leads to optimize performance across different markets.
β Collaborate with key stakeholders to anticipate, identify and capitalise on business development opportunities.
β Stay informed of the latest industry trends to uncover potential new areas for revenue growth.
What weβre looking for from you:
β Solid understanding of the programmatic advertising ecosystem and digital inventory management.
β Strong analytical skills with the ability to organise, analyse and scrutinise substantial amounts of data with precision and attention to detail.
β Knowledge of data manipulation using a SQL based tool (eg. BigQuery, SQL, etc.), as well as data visualisation (eg. Looker, Tableau, etc.). Python is a plus.
β Experience in working with big data sets (billions of rows) is preferred.
β Advanced Microsoft Excel experience.
β Degree in Mathematics, Statistics, Economics, Computer Science or related field.
β Strong organisational, time management, written and communication skills.
β Ideal candidate is someone who possesses the ability to take initiative and drive projects with minimal supervision.
