About the Role

The Associate, Protective Intelligence, will have an excellent grasp of international security dynamics, and a good understanding of their specific implications for businesses and operations. Research, writing and editing skills, creative thinking, strong analytical and problem‑solving capabilities, and the ability to work on a wide range of protective intelligence projects across multiple sectors is essential.

You Will

  • Work on client‑facing protective intelligence projects from day one and play a vital role in project development and delivery.
  • Conduct high quality open‑source research, monitoring and data gathering in support of protective intelligence work.
  • Contribute to scoping client and prospects needs, and develop proposals accordingly.
  • Deliver high-quality project work within agreed timescales, seeking guidance where required.
  • Work to deadlines on several engagements simultaneously, demonstrating the ability to move flexibly between projects.

You Have

  • Academic or professional background in international security, conflict studies or international relations (or other related fields).
  • Excellent research, analytical and drafting skills; proven application of technical research skills (e.g. data analysis or domain‑specific tools) will be considered an advantage.
  • The ability to provide written research accurately, clearly and concisely, and in accordance with an in‑house methodology.
  • Knowledge of or an interest in security and/or international affairs; a regional focus is desirable but not a must.
  • Excellent command of written and spoken English.
  • Knowledge of other languages (including French, Mandarin, Russian) will be considered an advantage.
  • Relevant work experience in research and/or threat monitoring and/or consulting.
