**Your Role:** Reporting into the Director of Digital Operations, this is a critical role in ensuring the efficient delivery and success of advertising campaigns, while also contributing to Octave’s growth and innovation in digital advertising. The role requires leadership skills, technical expertise, and a deep understanding of the advertising ecosystem. The role will work across multiple digital products and all News Broadcasting brands including talkSPORT, Virgin Radio, Times Radio, and Talk.
**Day to day you will:**
- Lead and maintain a high-performing ad-ops team in a fast-paced environment.
- Provide technical support and guidance on ad-tagging and adserving solutions.
- Oversee end-to-end campaign management of digital audio ad campaigns, including both instream and podcasts.
- Identify and implement ad tech solutions to streamline operations and improve efficiency.
- Manage technology partner integrations and onboard new products in the ad server.
- Ensure compliance with industry standards, regulations, and policies.
- Work closely with the Head of Data to ensure audience targeting capabilities are correctly mapped in the ad server.
- Collaborate with programmatic stakeholders to manage prioritization of campaigns.
- Ensure campaigns meet performance benchmarks and client expectations.
- Manage multiple inventory streams, including onboarding and connections of new inventory.
- Coordinate with the Head of Insights & Billing to manage bookings through the OMS.
- Maintain company ad formats, specs, allowlists, and advertising policies documentation.
- Troubleshoot new formats/products in BETA testing and provide feedback to stakeholders.
**What we’re looking for:**
- A desire to learn and grow within the role.
- Strong experience in Ad Operations.
- Understanding of DSPs/SSPs & the programmatic ecosystem.
- Expertise in campaign management and operational excellence.
- Proficiency with Adswizz’ ad server Audioserve preferred.
- Experience with creative delivery systems, e.g., JET.
- Analytical skills to identify trends and opportunities through data.
- Outcome-oriented strategic thinking with a pragmatic, insights-driven approach.
- Excellent communication skills, capable of simplifying complex issues.
- Ability to prioritize multiple workstreams and demands effectively.
