Your role: We are seeking a strategic, creative, and results-driven Events Marketing Manager to lead the planning, execution, and promotion of the Times & Sunday Times consumer events programme, that support brand awareness, subscriber engagement, acquisition, and revenue growth through ticket sales. This role will manage all aspects of event marketing, ensuring alignment with broader marketing goals and company objectives.

Day to day you will:

  • Formulate comprehensive marketing strategy for consumer events programme
  • Contribute to the development of event concepts and ideas
  • Brief and manage creative and delivery of campaigns to promote events and all the branding elements required at the event eg video elements, in situ branding
  • Manage the event marketing budget.
  • Work with the wider marketing team to brief and create assets to promote events in our house channels across press, radio and digital
  • Manage Times Events social media accounts, in conjunction with the video and audience team
  • Develop and implement a paid performance marketing strategy in collaboration with the performance team.
  • Monitor ticket sales, trends, and performance metrics in conjunction with the events team and make recommendations on ticket pricing
  • Develop collaborations and partnerships with relevant brands to grow reach of our events with target audiences
  • Assume responsibility for management and growth of events database including event newsletter content, delivery, and establishing best practices and cadence, while collaborating with internal teams
  • Collaborate with relevant teams to gain insights into audience demographics, including gender ratio, attendance frequency, age, subscriber/non-subscriber, etc
  • Manage data collection and cross-promotional marketing activities at events.
  • Cultivate relationships with the Editorial team, B2B events team, Times Radio, and talent to encourage event promotion.

What we’re looking for from you:

  • Experience in a consumer events marketing role
  • Ability to demonstrate having significantly grown an active customer base attending events and knowledge of key tactics to increase attendance for events.
  • Strong project management skills and ability to manage multiple priorities under tight deadlines.
  • Exceptional communication, negotiation, and organizational skills.
  • Experience with CRM and marketing automation tools
  • Experience in social media marketing, and utilizing it effectively
  • Familiarity with event platforms (e.g. Eventbrite, SquadUp) and digital event production tools.
  • Data-driven mindset with the ability to analyze and report on event performance metrics.
  • Willingness to travel as needed for on-site event support.
  • Interest in news, current affairs and arts & culture
