Job Description

The Client Team is responsible for building long term strategic, commercial relationships with advertisers directly, maintaining spend as well as delivering incremental revenue growth. The team use insight on our audience behaviours across our network of brands and platforms, applying sector expertise to develop best in market opportunities for our partners.

Your Role: You will be responsible for developing relationships with News UK key clients that operate within the Finance and Technology categories. You will focus on Corporate and B2B audiences across The Times, Sunday Times and Times Radio but will also have remit to develop opportunities for your categories across The Sun, talkSPORT, talkSPORT2, talkRADIO and Virgin Radio.

Responsibilities:

  • Proactively grow relationships with new business accounts within your defined categories.
  • Develop and maintain effective working relationships with existing key account clients, in collaboration with the Category Directors, to maximise revenue.
  • Develop deep understanding of News UK’s different audiences, identifying cross-category trends that support the creation of innovative opportunities for clients.
  • Forecast and report on revenue and share for your categories across all of our titles and platforms.
  • Work collaboratively with internal teams to deliver bespoke, best in class proactive and responsive partnership proposals.
  • Deliver key insight pieces to drive News UK’s reputation for thought-leadership.
  • Attend key networking events for your defined categories to gather market intel and forge new relationships.

  • A hungry and tenacious new business winning approach.
  • Ability to operate across multiple categories and insights.
  • Collaborative spirit, knowing your specific value to the sales process and how to integrate with stakeholders to ensure we maximise our sales success rate.
  • Track record of hitting set KPI’s related to revenue, meetings and new business.
  • Confident in developing and selling dynamic multi-media propositions.
