Your Team

The Account Management team is the commercial engine room of our operations. We bridge the gap between sales ambition and flawless execution, ensuring our campaigns reach audiences across the UK through some of the world’s most iconic newsbrands.

Your Role

As an Account Executive, you are the backbone of our commercial operations, ensuring that ambitious campaigns across The Sun, The Times, and our premium magazine portfolio are executed with precision. Reporting to the Regional Account Management lead, you will act as a systems expert and primary coordinator, ensuring every advertisement is booked, verified, and processed flawlessly across both print and digital platforms.

Day to day you will:

  • Execute the end-to-end booking process for print and digital advertisements using Salesforce and Adpoint.
  • Liaise directly with print planners and digital partners to manage inventory, amendments, and final placements.
  • Manage the daily intake of bookings, ensuring all orders meet technical and commercial standards.
  • Verify customer information and order specifications to act as a gatekeeper for accuracy and financial integrity.
  • Submit order payments, issue pro-forma invoices, and resolve finance-related queries to support the wider sales department.
  • Compile weekly sales reports and maintain real-time dashboards to provide visibility on revenue and volume.

What we’re looking for from you:

  • Meticulous attention to detail to ensure zero-error data entry within a fast‑paced media environment.
  • Proven organisational prowess with the ability to juggle multiple deadlines ranging from daily print runs to real‑time digital activations.
  • Strong communication skills to effectively translate technical booking requirements into clear actions when liaising between Sales, Finance, and external partners.
  • Technical fluency and experience using Salesforce, Adpoint, or similar media booking systems to manage complex data.
  • Adaptability to thrive within the high‑speed nature of the news cycle while supporting team priorities.

If you think you have what it takes but don’t tick every requirement on the list, please do apply. We recognise that considering someone’s potential as well as their experience is a great way to hire. We want to hear from people who have a passion to learn and develop.

At News UK, we embrace a hybrid work model, currently requiring a minimum of three days per week in the office. This approach fosters collaboration, innovation, and team spirit within our workspace. Certain roles may necessitate additional in‑office days; please discuss this with your recruiter for specific requirements.

Benefits

  • Private medical insurance including coverage for pre‑existing conditions.
  • Discounted gym memberships, free ClassPass at Home, weekly in‑person/virtual exercise classes.
  • ‘Bikes for Work’ and ‘Electric Car’ scheme.
  • Up to 60% discount on Harper Collins books.
  • Maternity leave up to 18 weeks full basic salary & paternity leave up to 2 weeks.
  • Access to exclusive events and competitions with exciting brands such as talkSPORT, Virgin Radio UK & The Times.
  • Weekly virtual panel chats with top journalists and celebrities.
  • Access to wellbeing benefits such as EAP, physio/massage and counselling.
  • A generous pension scheme with employer contributions of up to 5%.
  • Wide range of training available, plus full LinkedIn Learning access.
  • 25 days holiday, plus bank holidays and up to 4 volunteering days per year.

We are committed to providing an inclusive recruitment process.
