The Senior Manager, Compute is a regional role responsible for leading and managing the organization's computing infrastructure and services, including servers, virtualization, and related technologies. This role plays a critical part in defining the operational strategy, ensuring alignment with global standards, understanding business requirements and delivery of efficient and reliable computing services to support the business's technology needs. A key requirement of this role is to work closely with the business units in each region and Regional Technology directors to ensure the effective prioritization of requests and project activities.

Key Responsibilities
- Team Leadership: Lead and inspire a team of high-performing IT professionals responsible for compute infrastructure operations across multiple locations. Foster a culture of collaboration, innovation and operational excellence. Collaborate with peers to define and execute strategic programs of work.
- Infrastructure Management: Oversee the design, deployment, and maintenance of the organization's computing infrastructure, including servers, storage and cloud services in alignment with corporate standards and policies. Ensure the availability, reliability, and performance of compute services. Promote a cloud first strategy and decommission of legacy on premise infrastructure. Monitor system performance and identify opportunities for optimization and efficiency improvements.
- Virtualization and Cloud Computing: Evaluate, implement, and manage virtualization technologies to optimize resource utilization and scalability. Collaborate with cloud service providers to leverage cloud computing resources as needed. Collaborate with engineering and cloud partners to stay abreast of industry trends and emerging technologies that can drive efficiency and optimization of services for our business partners.
- Security and Compliance: Implement and enforce security best practices to protect computing resources and data. Ensure compliance with industry regulations and data protection standards.
- Budget Management: Monitor operations costs and seek opportunities to optimize resource utilization, ensuring cost-effectiveness and ROI. Track spend against the compute infrastructure budget.
- Vendor and Stakeholder Management: Collaborate with vendors, service providers, and internal stakeholders to negotiate contracts and service agreements. Collaborate with business partners to establish operational requirements, new initiatives and opportunities for improvement. Align with PMO and Engineering to ensure all projects are approved, tracked and appropriately resourced and funded. Maintain strong relationships with key technology partners.
- Documentation and Reporting: Maintain accurate documentation of infrastructure configurations and procedures. Generate regular reports on infrastructure performance and key metrics. Identify, manage and report on identified operational risks and remediation actions.
