Job Description

We are News Broadcasting: Driving digital innovation, our people create award-winning national and local radio and podcasts which are must-listens for millions across the UK, Ireland and beyond. talkSPORT, the world’s biggest sports radio station, delivers the very best live sport and analysis and is truly powered by its millions of fans. Times Radio brings together the peerless journalistic expertise of The Times and The Sunday Times with world-class broadcast talent including John Pienaar, Kate McCann and Andrew Neil.

Your Role: This is an exciting new role leading our specialist digital sales team. Reporting into the Director of Digital and working alongside agency sales hubs, this role will focus on driving revenue growth across digital audio, VOD, CTV, display and branded content products. The role will work across all News Broadcasting brands including talkSPORT, Virgin Radio, Times Radio and Talk.

Day to day you will:

  • Work alongside senior commercial stakeholders to devise and implement the digital sales strategy across both the digital sales team and wider commercial department.
  • Manage digital pipeline, revenue forecasting and drive team performance.
  • Create sales collateral and bespoke opportunities for the wider sales team to deliver to market.
  • Drive partnership opportunities and revenues alongside the wider News Broadcasting digital sell.
  • Manage senior digital and trading relationships across all major agency groups.
  • Support the wider News UK business to drive News Broadcasting’s digital offering on larger cross platform briefs and educate internal teams.
  • Work with senior sales, activation, product, strategy and editorial stakeholders to consistently improve ideation & then delivery of the sold campaigns, to ensure post sale world class service and delivery for our clients.
  • Work closely with Acast, Octave and Ozone on wider collaborative sales initiatives.

What we’re looking for from you:

  • Demonstrable experience of working within the digital media space with creativity and a personal drive to deliver award winning work, alongside an excellent knowledge of agency and client business objectives.
  • Deep understanding of digital media products including video, audio, display and trading.
  • Strong knowledge of data, the programmatic ecosystem and good understanding of digital operations processes (Ad server, forecasting etc).
  • Ability to manage and lead a market leading sales team.
  • An interest in and knowledge of the UK media industry, with a passion for digital.
  • Proven track record of building and nurturing relationships across a wide spectrum of agency disciplines.
