Your Team: News Studios is home to world-class video talent and state-of-the-art production facilities at The News Building in London Bridge. News Studios services all of News UK's brands - including The Times & The Sunday Times, The Sun, talkSPORT, Virgin Radio UK, and Talk. The team at News Studios support creative programming development and produce short and long-form content from a suite of dedicated studios.
Your Role: Reporting to the Head of Studios, you will play a vital role in the heart of our broadcast operations. You will be responsible for ensuring our studios are technically ready for high-profile broadcasts and will work collaboratively to capture the visually engaging content our audiences love.
Day to day you will:
- Prepare the studio and gallery environments daily to ensure all systems are ready for live broadcasts and recordings.
- Operate Shotoku Robotic cameras with precision during both live and pre-recorded productions.
- Support the Senior Lighting Director and Vision Control team to maintain high visual standards throughout the output.
- Maintain a wide range of technical equipment to support the production and delivery of broadcast quality content.
- Collaborate with the creative team to develop new programme formats - offering alternative and innovative camera shots.
- Identify and report technical issues to the engineering team or production crew promptly to ensure problems are quickly addressed and ensuring minimal impact on the output.
- Be adaptable and flexible with the ability to work across multi-disciplines, including helping the floor manager to move set items when required.
