News Studios services all of News UK's brands – including The Times & The Sunday Times, The Sun, talkSPORT, Virgin Radio UK, and Talk. The team at News Studios support creative programming development and produce short and long‑form content from a suite of dedicated studios.
Your Role
As a Director / Vision Mixer, you will be at the helm of our visual output, reporting to the Head of Studios to deliver high‑quality, engaging video content. This is a hands‑on, creative role where you will lead a talented gallery team to bring stories to life for a monthly audience of millions.
Day to day you will:
- Work closely with the Head of Studios to oversee the creative output of News Studios.
- Work with teams across the business to deliver high quality and engaging video content for News Studios.
- Lead a gallery team to ensure smooth, efficient and visually appealing productions.
- Direct content and control the vision mixing desk.
- Transition seamlessly between camera shots, video sources, graphics and other visual elements to maintain a high‑paced production flow.
- Build effects and manage file imports into the vision mixing desk.
- Devise best working practices to accommodate a variety of shows depending on the complexity of the content.
What we’re looking for from you:
- Experience as a multi‑camera Director / Vision Mixer with a proven ability to work efficiently under pressure.
- Creative mindset with a keen eye for visual composition and storytelling.
- Proficiency in technical problem‑solving to quickly diagnose and address technical issues during a fast‑moving production.
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills to collaborate effectively with various production crew members.
