Newrest is looking for a Team Leader to join our production department in Manchester, United Kingdom.
Reports to: Line Manager | Salary: £13.39ph | Contract: Permanent

Roles & Responsibilities
- To ensure all airline products are to specification.
- Assist in continuous staff training programs.
- Responsible for maintaining and improving quality standards and appearance of all foods served.
- Organising the inventory, storage, and distribution of foodstuffs and supplies.
- To ensure and check all products are packed into the appropriate airline equipment ready for dispatching to aircraft.
- Pack carts to the required standard and in accordance with passenger numbers.
- Ensuring stock levels are maintained to the required levels and ensure production schedules are met.

- Contribute and manage within defined systems of working to ensure quality of product, service to the customer and team progression/development.
- Attend/conduct daily operational meetings/briefings. Present accurate information and data as requested.
- Interact with colleagues and clients on site in a professional manner at all times.
- Comply with all unit Corporate, Social, Responsibility initiatives.
- Ensure you are aware and comply with QHSE policies and procedures.
- Rotate through different departments/units as reasonably required.
- Instigate and support continuous improvement initiatives.
- Ensure you understand Newrest Non-negotiables and adhere to these at all times.
- Report all accident/hazards/near misses, in your area in line with Newrest requirements.
- Adhere to Unit safety measures in place.
- Adhere to Inflight services security compliance.

Essential Skills
- Minimum 1 years’ experience in catering. (desirable)
- The ability to work calmly under pressure.
- Excellent communication, team work and customer service skills.
- Good literacy skills, verbal written and spoken.
- Operational awareness, understand of HACCP, COSHH, DVLA requirements and any other vehicle requirements as specified by your manager.
