Team Leader – Dishwash

From clean systems to smooth departures, lead the team behind the scenes. We are looking for a Team Leader who can work in a fast-paced aviation environment and help ensure every flight leaves fully prepared and on time. You will support the Department Manager in managing the daily operation, taking ownership and accountability for meeting operational objectives and targets.

Position Details:

  • Title: Team Leader Dishroom
  • Reports to: Department Manager
  • Shifts: Rotating Shift Pattern 4 on 2 off, 2 early shifts followed by 2 late shifts
  • Start times: Between 5:00 am – 7:00 am (subject to change); 8 and a half hour shifts
  • Rate: £14.01 per hour
  • Location: Manchester
  • Seniority level: Entry level

Responsibilities

  • Ensure all equipment is packed to the required airline specification
  • Ensure dish room required throughputs are achieved
  • Provide all required equipment to internal customers on time
  • Record and monitor wash machine temperatures
  • Maintain waste compacting, removal equipment and systems in good working condition
  • Adhere to correct equipment deadhead procedures for all airlines and pack surplus equipment for storage in the warehouse
  • Carry out quality checks for damaged and faulty equipment and segregate in line with airline specifications
  • Plan and manage team\’s output to ensure all targets are met
  • Perform daily performance monitoring of team members and raise concerns to operational Manager
  • Attend and conduct daily operational meetings/briefings and present accurate information and data as requested

Qualifications

  • Minimum 1 year’s experience in catering (desirable)
  • Ability to work calmly under pressure
  • Excellent communication and teamwork skills
  • Proven leadership ability, with good literacy and verbal, written and spoken skills
  • Operational awareness, understanding of HACCP and COSHH
