As an HGV Class 2 Driver you will play a vital role in ensuring aircraft are fully catered and ready for departure and help to ensure a seamless experience for airline customers and passengers. Shifts: Rotating Nine and half hour Shifts, 5 on 3 off Hours: Start time between: 4.00 and 11.30 & Finish time between 13.30 & 21.00 Rate:£17.27 per hour Overtime: 1.2 of hourly rate, after the completion of 173 hours each month Our operation runs seven days a week, so flexibility is essential.
You'll work a range of shifts, including evenings, weekends and bank holidays. Depending on airside operational requirements overtime and extended shifts as a key requirement of the role. Responsibilities
- Perform pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections as standard security and safety protocol and report any issues immediately.
- Maintain cleanliness and hygiene of the vehicle and loading areas.
- Ensure vehicle is security checked and sealed by an authorised staff member before departure with completed specified documentation.
- Drive HGV2 trucks to transport catering trolleys, meals, beverages and equipment to aircraft stands or airport terminals.
- Load aircraft as per the galley plans and adhering to company policy.
- Load and unload catering on and off the truck at the unit and aircraft in a safe and timely manner.
